Defender is a high tech Whitbread
around The World Racing Maxi
that was raced by the British
Armed Services during the 1989/90
Around the World Race.
It is an 83ft Maxi Yacht with a
Sloop design. Built of Carbon Fibre,
features include a huge 115ft mast,
race grinding winch towers and
over 6ft of headroom below deck.
Since this maxi was converted into
a Whitsunday Charter Maxi yacht
in 2001, she runs a 2-day/2night
trip departing Tuesday, Thursdays
and Saturday.
Taking up to 26 guests, this trip
is suited to people who want a
Maxi-racing adventure cruise!
