Mooring
Information
To preserve the coral in this area, reef protection buoys
have been installed. Do not anchor inshore of an imaginary straight
line between the marker buoys. Outside the no-anchoring buoys you
will be in 11-15 metres of water, and it drops off rather steeply.
Be sure to put out plenty of scope, and leave sufficient swinging
room between yachts. This is not the best overnight achorage as
there is often swell.
General Information
Blue Pearl Bay offers some good diving and snorkelling. A number
of large bommies lie between Castle Rock and the middle of the bay.
As there are many snorkellers and divers in this area please go
slowly and carefuly when driving the dinghy.
