Mooring
Information
There may be some disturbed water at the entrance to Nara
Inlet and for some distance out in contrary wind/tide conditions.
Keep to the starboard side on entering to avoid the reef area that
extends over much of the entrance. Anchorage No1 may get some chop
or swell in south-southeast winds of 25 + knots as there is a clear
(virtually unbroken) fetch straight in from the Whitsunday Passage
and down to the end of this long narrow fjord. It is possible to
anchor quite close to the end of the inlet. The holding is excellent.
This location is good for an overnight stay.
General Information
Nara Inlet is a nice location and sheltered from the weather, therefore
it is good for water activities.
