Day
One
Once you have completed
your briefing and stocked up, set sail across
the Whitsunday Passage to Nara
Inlet on Hook Island. A medium walk
to the top to explore the Aboriginal Cave
site and painting via a boardwalk constructed
by the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Officers.
Day
Two
Head south down the
Passage to Cid
Harbour on Whitsunday
Island. This is a very large harbour
and one of the all weather anchorages. There
are several sand beaches to explore and
tank water is normally available at Dugong
Beach.
Day
Three
Continue south to
Hamilton Island
Resort and enjoy all the facilities they
have to offer. Radio ahead and make arrangements
for a berth that morning or the evening
before to ensure you can get in, especially
during peak times. Feel free to explore
the island and make use of the many restaurants,
bars, pools and activities available - overnight
in the marina.
Day
Four
Take a left around
to Whitehaven
Beach, which is made up of 98% pure
white silica sand. A magnificent beach and
one that is extremely popular, though with
5km available there is plenty for everyone.
Whitehaven
can be a bit a rollie and therefore not
suitable for a night anchor so head over
to Hazelwood
Island late afternoon. Also a good alternative
if Whitehaven is too crowded for your liking.
Day
Five
After enjoying breakfast
over the clear waters head north to Mackerel
Bay for a spot of fishing and snorkelling.
Then round to Butterfly
Bay for the evening/afternoon for a
late swim and beach exploration.
Day
Six
Take a leisurely
cruise over to Hayman
Island Resort, one of Australia's most
talked about resorts, for the morning. It
is essential to contact the island the day
before, as space is limited. Also note a
dress standard applies. Then head down to
Stonehaven Anchorage
for your nights mooring.
Day
Seven
Head back into the
Molle Island
Group to Bauer Bay where you can visit
the resort on South
Molle Island. There are some easy -
medium walks to get your last great lookout
photos to take home. Celebrate the last
night of your charter either onboard or
taking advantage of the island restaurant
and activities.
Day
Eight
After breakfast
set sail for the Abel Point Marina, where
we shall meet you on return and bring the
yacht back into berth for you
