Solway
Lass is 127ft Tall Ship
Built
in Holland 1902, Solway Lass is
rich in history and has lived through
both World Wars, been used for coal
carting and carried cargo until
she was restored in 1984. It was
then used as a floating Restaurant
in Sydney Harbour, until it was
sailed to the Whitsundays in the
early 1990’s. In early 1999
Solway Lass was remodelled for overnight
3 day & 3 night sailing holidays
in the Whitsundays
Solway Lass is fully air-conditioned
and has 11 cabins for 32 guests.
These cabins are private double/twin
and as well share and contain teak
and cedar feature walls along with
Jarrah timber trims. Beautiful!
Solway Lass covered around 90 nautical
miles (160km), exploring beautiful
spots including Whitehaven Beach,
Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island,
Mantaray and Nara Inlet and stopping
to snorkel, scuba dive and swim
on the island coral fringing reef.
