Built in Holland 1902, Solway Lass is rich in history and has lived through both World Wars, been used for coal carting and carried cargo until she was restored in 1984. It was then used as a floating Restaurant in Sydney Harbour, until it was sailed to the Whitsundays in the early 1990’s. In early 1999 Solway Lass was remodelled for overnight 3 day & 3 night sailing holidays in the Whitsundays
Solway Lass is fully air-conditioned and has 11 cabins for 32 guests. These cabins are private double/twin and as well share and contain teak and cedar feature walls along with Jarrah timber trims. Beautiful!
Solway Lass covered around 90 nautical miles (160km), exploring beautiful spots including Whitehaven Beach, Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island, Mantaray and Nara Inlet and stopping to snorkel, scuba dive and swim on the island coral fringing reef.
Solway Lass provides up to 32 guest with the opportunity to experience sailing as it was a century ago with the 11 sails and 5500 square feet of sail area. Guests are welcome to assist the crew hoist the sails and steer the ship, or otherwise just relax on the huge decks and take in the views

SAILING WHITSUNDAYS OVERNIGHT CREWED WHITSUNDAY YACHT CHARTER
These trips in Sailing Whitsundays are all inclusive (all meals, accommodation, bed linen, snorkelling equipment, marine park fees and stinger suits are included in the cost) Alcohol may be either BYO (bring your own) but several boats are fully licensed. With each trip which ranges from $260 per person, per trip the vessels are crewed by a fully qualified skipper/guide and crew/hostess/cook while cruising to the best sites around the islands (over 74 in the group) and stopping for snorkelling and diving (if offered), bushwalking and Whitehaven Beach.
